Step by step tutorial how to install Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Linux distribution on a PC with Intel or AMD CPU from a USB stick. In this tutorial I installed it on the SSD of Lenovo ThinkPad T490 laptop. However, the same steps with minor modifications can be applied to any other laptop or desktop PC with Intel or AMD CPU. A slightly different combination of keys for selecting a temporary boot device on the first step might be required depending on the firmware and the hardware inf you are using a different computer.
