Is the Sky Garden the best free view in London? In this video, we’re taking a full walkthrough of the Sky Garden, London's highest public garden located 35+ stories up in the iconic 20 Fenchurch Street building (affectionately known as the "Walkie Talkie").
This famous rooftop destination offers 360-degree views of the London skyline, including The Shard, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the River Thames.
While entry is free, tickets are strictly booking-only and usually sell out weeks in advance.
Inside the Sky Garden:
Bars: There are two main bars. Sky Pod Bar serves a range of cocktails (starting at approximately £15), while City Garden Bar offers a more relaxed vibe with coffees, cakes, sweets, and light bites.
Dining: We take a look at the two signature restaurants: Darwin Brasserie (British seasonal cuisine) and Fenchurch Restaurant (Fine dining). Note: If you have a reservation here, you can skip the main queue via a separate VIP entrance.
What to Expect:
Be prepared for airport-style security at the entrance. Queues can take around 45 minutes during peak times, so arrive early! Even if the London weather isn't perfect, the indoor tropical gardens and glass-domed roof make this a must-visit.
Is it worth it? At £15 for a cocktail with a "free" world-class view, it’s arguably the best deal in the city compared to paid observation decks like The Shard.
