Patong, despite its bad reputation, is the most popular area of Phuket. It’s very lively, best known for the crazy parties on Bangla Road. It is also the most easy place to connect with people and other travellers in Phuket as most people tend to stay there. The last one was the reason I chose to stay in Patong for my first week in Thailand. Since I was solo traveling Thailand, it was important for me to find a place which makes it easy to connect with people.
Today in Thailand I tell you how I made online friends before my solo travels (through Couchsurfing, Host A Sister and Bumble Friends). I also talk about how I afford to travel. I also visit two other beaches with my new friends – Kamala Beach and Bang Tao Beach. In Bang Tao we go to the Beach Bar, watch the fire show and stay for the party.
I am staying in the centre of Patong, in SHA Plus + hotel for a week, called Hotel Clover.
