Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) are a way of private companies going public, and raising significant amounts of money. This also leads to much more stringent regulations, and this means that IPOs are usually done by more mature companies. IPOs also include the use of an underwriter and this video will also look at the role of an underwriter in an IPO. Recent examples of IPOs include Airbnb, Deliveroo and Robinhood.
