Infanticide were a Californian brutal death metal band, active from 1993 to 1997. During that time, this band with a very unique and not overused name, only had this demo to show off as an official release.
If you're into early 90's brutal death that leans a bit more to the death than to the brutal, you know what this demo has in store for you. Akin to bands such as Sepsism, Excoriate - Dead Molestation, Embalmed or even Gorelust. I just wish I could see the original cover art for this, or even just the band logo!

![Seventh Gate - Execution [Full Demo - 1989]
Seventh Gate were an Americand death/thrash metal band. They released 2 tapes, this one in 89 and a second one in 90.
Their sound is still heavily rooted in thrash metal (as to be expected from something from the 80s) and they still employ some vocal techniques used more commonly in that genre - to a gret effect if I may add), but since the vocals do get raspy and the songs are more mid-tempo than anything else it already sounds like death metal.
If nothing else, its an interesting to how the genres were evolving in the late 80s.

00:00 - Day of Doom
03:14 - Cry for Pain
08:09 - Into the Abyss
10:17 - The Execution

![Streetcleaner - Demo 1997 [Full Demo - 1997]
Streetcleaner were a hardcore band from Illinois, USA. I have no idea when they formed, disbanded or if they released more material (I sure wish they did) since little to no information about this band is available online.
This upload sticks out like a sore thumb since its possibly the first upload on the channel thats not primarily metal - however, if youre into the more chaotic side of sludge metal or hardcore punk, this demo is the right thing for you. Super drudgy guitars, sore throat screams (often processed through guitar amps) and a huge fuck you attitude.
Man, I love punk so much...

![Necrologi - Necrologi [Full Demo - 1994]
Necrologi were a 5 piece death/thrash metal band from Catalonia, Spain. This self titled demo with a baller skeleton is the only thing they ever put out there.
This is a very amateurish demo, no one is really super proficient with their instruments and that adds up to a very natural feeling demo for those with a knack for that DIY feel. They never really have fast tempos, which is another DIY stamp from those smaller bands with members that never really played music other for the love of it.

![Windbreed - Into the Breed [Full Demo - 1994]
Windbreed were an American death metal band and were active from 1992 to 1996. During their runtime, the band released this demo, a live album and 2 EPs.
Into the Breed opens up with a track thats more doom/death with some uh... shall we call it interesting creative choices. Anyway, as soon as that track is over (dont get me wrong, it is a cool track), Windbreed release the hounds and ferocity reigns. From Dying in the Mourning Sun to Into the Breed (damn these do sound like death/doom track names) its no frills death metal. The vocals are specially interesting because of the effects they overlaid on them, super neat stuff.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Left Before Me
05:40 - Dying in the Mourning Sun

![Hormigon - Hormigon [Full Demo - 1992]
Hormigon were a short lived Spanish death metal band who formed in 1992 and disbanded in 1995 after releasing 2 demos... They have, however, hopped in the very modern trend that is reactivating your old band after like 3 decades and released 2 LPs since 2019, one in 2020 and another in 2022.
They play some beefy death metal, very 90s style, akin to maybe Sinister, Acrostichon or maybe a bit of Krabathor?... maybe....
Actually, these guys are perfectly in that 90s middle ground death metal that doesnt sound exactly like any major, genre-defining band but also sound undeniably 90s and I just cant wrap my head around it. This happened many times to me before while figuring out what to write in my little comments about the demos. I need a good benchmark band for this kind of style and I just dont know what to compare this style with!!

![Lacerate - Lacerate [Full Demo - 2000]
Lacerate come from Thailand and this brutal death metal demo is their second output after forming in 98. Since that date, they have released 2 demos, 3 splits and 1 EP. Their last release was in 2004 and, surprisingly, apparently, theyre still active today. This specific version Ive uploaded here is a re-release by Terror From Hell Records that includes an extra 5th track.
In these 20min, expect late 90s brutal death metal to the core. Raw and unfiltered riffs, unintelligible growls and non-stop aggression. Catches the spirit of bands such as Vomit Remnants, Regurgitation or Vile

![Skeletal Remains - Legions of the Undead [Full Demo - 1994]
Skeletal Remains, not to be confused with the still active (and still very good) death metal band from California, were an American death/thrash metal band. Very little is known about them and as far as I know this demo was the only thing they ever put out.
It mightve been the only one, but god damn this shit is vile as fuck. Reminds me of those late 80s demos by Necrophagia, Necrophile (which I uploaded a while back), Deceased... or even Insanity, even aesthetically. This doesnt even sound like 1994! Too primitive for 1994 but at the same time it just makes sense that it couldnt exist before because its too ahead of the 80s! That last half of Legions of the Undead stands out so much, after three and a half tracks of intensity those slower and reverbed riffs are a gift of the gods. And the sample playing over the riffs? Shit man, I can never get enough of that. The sample from Bride of Re-Animator on Laughing in Hell is the cherry on top.
Super good, if this Skeletal Remains had kept going they could have definitely been another American powerhouse of death metal. That taste-defining kind of shit we rarely find. Definitely one Ill come back to often.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Crying of Your Soul
03:04 - Reap What You Slay
07:31 - Process of Possession
11:00 - Legions of the Undead
17:50 - Laughing in Hell
Couldnt find any links friends, probably because the other Skeletal Remains is much, much more popular

![Carnifex - Rebellion in Hell [Full Demo - 1994]
Carnifex were a 4 piece death metal band form Russia. Apparently they only released this demo under Carnifex and then another under Anubis... And thats it, thats all the information out there about this band. The music files came to me without cover art or band logo, I had to fetch a random image from the internet for background. I cant even guarantee that the band/demo/track titles are correct.
Mostly mid-tempo death metal with a silly ass instrumental interlude. The riff that opens Human Dogs sounds like video game music and I love it. On that note, Im pretty sure the drums sound programmed even tho Metallum credits a drummer...
Tracklist:
00:00 - Nightmare of Hell

08:28 - Marauder
12:19 - Human Dogs

![Archaic Mass - Canticles of Dissolution [Full EP - 1992]
Archaic Mass are (!? whoa theyre still active?) an American hyper fast death metal band. They released 3 EPs ever since they formed in 1988, all of them during the 90s, Canticles of Dissolution being their 2nd release.
These guys woke up one day and were like You know what would be cool? Thrash but like SUPER fast, eh? and recorded 3 EPs that sound like the embodiment of aggression. Think a notch above early Pestilence or other underground bands like the Frenchies from Mutilated with their Psychodeath Lunatics or the American band Parricide with the A Future of Suffering demo. Just high octane shit and nothing else. Bulldozing riffs!!
Yes this is already up on youtube, but shit I really like this and wanted to have it on my channel!

![Terteros - Beyond the Tales [Full Demo - 1992]
Terteros were a German death metal band. Formed in 1991, they released only 2 demos, Beyond... being their debut.
Its a very beefy demo, with a solid blend of low tuned and high tuned guitars, giving it a more unique sound. The bass is also present here more often than the average osdm demo, and the kick drums are super chunky. The band stays mostly at a mid-tempo, but still uses faster riffs to bring out their aggression from time to time. Terteros have some super interesting quirks in their music, nothing too over the top nor noticeable, but if you pay attention to the music and are used to the genre, you will definitely notice them.

![Shrieking Demons - Diabolical Regurgitations [Full EP - 2021]
Diabolical Regurgitations is Shrieking Demons debut EP, 16 minutes of gross, putrid and abhorrent death metal.
Honestly, this being a Caligari Recs release automatically lets you know that this is a good release. 16 minutes of Autopsy, Abscess and Dream Death worship, an incredibly solid and top tier list of influences - and they used all of that potential in this EP. The songs flow perfectly into eachother and variety is a thing that doesnt lack. Its enticing and makes you want more from the band.
With members of Cancer Spreading, Gravesite, Assumption, Bottomless, Becerus, and many others! A very promissing release, dont sleep on this band....
