Seventh Gate were an Americand death/thrash metal band. They released 2 tapes, this one in '89 and a second one in '90.
Their sound is still heavily rooted in thrash metal (as to be expected from something from the 80's) and they still employ some vocal techniques used more commonly in that genre - to a gret effect if I may add), but since the vocals do get raspy and the songs are more mid-tempo than anything else it already sounds like death metal.
If nothing else, it's an interesting to how the genres were evolving in the late 80's.
