Public toilets in India are a mess. They are usually poorly maintained and unusable. A social enterprise, Eram Scientific Solutions, has taken the challenge of building cleaner toilets. And it uses a lot of technology to do that.

The Internet enabled toilet has remote monitoring capabilities. You just need to drop a coin into this unmanned toilet and the door slides open, the light and audio commands turn on. The enclosure is vandal-resistant and hygienic.
