Lute by Tommaso Tarsi, Vocals & arrangement by Farya Faraji, by an anonymous composer/writer. It was collected in 1551 by Tylman Sussato, a musician active in Antwerp. A prime example of Renaissance polyphony of Western Europe, it features four layered melodic lines on top of one another performed concurrently to produce counterpoint and harmonic intervals, with the vocals singing the superius line.
The instruments consist of viola de gambas, a harpsichord, and a lute expertly played by musician Tommaso Tarsi. I sang the vocals using the falsetto register, something very common for men back then.
