The more I see, the more promising it seems... Beating zombies to a pulp with a war hammer or a shield? Lopping their heads with a two-handed greatsword? Punching them in their rotting face with a steel gauntlet? Sign me up! :)
If you haven't seen it before, Blight: Survival is a horror action game in a 14th century inspired, war torn setting with some kind of zombie virus. The devs seem to put considerable emphasis on realism and historical accuracy, despite the obvious fantasy elements.
