In previous takes, George Harrison had been responsible for playing the tambourine, although in the photo taken on the same day of recording, his acoustic guitar can also be seen on the studio floor.
There is also a theory that in the Anthology take, it was he who played the distinctive vibraphone that almost created a sombre atmosphere for the song.
