So hi everyone! I've decided to come back to YouTube, probably the main reason being that Vlare has become rather, I guess ''unstable'' is the word for it, as of recent, with it frequently going down, and not working the way it should, and dealing with this simply felt tiring and I feel like in this regard, YT works a bit better, I suppose. So I just frequently found myself too tired to want to upload to Vlare again, even if I have smaaaall things that I've finished during this time. It miiight be easier for me to upload here, then.
However, I cannot say that I will have a ''regular'' upload schedule (I honestly haven't really had one, in general?), I will simply upload when I feel like doing so, and when I have made something that I'd like to share.
As of recent, I haven't been editing much, but I will still try to upload whenever I feel ready, and upload things I maybe had uploaded to Vlare and feel happy with, and want to keep here, as well.
And as for videos I've uploaded to Vlare and want to upload here too - I shall copy and paste the description from there, to here, so I don't need to re-write anything.
I want to say thank you to everyone who is still subscribed and is curious about my work - your support is very much appreciated, and it's very much motivational to me, as well! ^^

Feeling quite happy with this one, actually!
The inspiration for this one came to me after seeing previews that my girlfriend sent to me of her newest mmd (definitely recommend that yall check it out, by the way!), and I figured that I could also try out the Mic Drop motion in particular.
I started this yesterday, and I didnt quite know what stage I wanted to use, and when I finally thought I found one, I couldnt get the lighting with Raycast to work right. I decided to briefly try switching to another stage but nothing worked there either so then I just gave up for the day, as I was starting to feel a little frustrated.
And then today, I was playing around with shaders, and I tried out the NCHL shader, and didnt really know how to get the model to be lighter, so I started randomly changing accessory values, and I happened to get a very nice pink/purple and blue neon look on Bakuras model, which I was actually WANTED to achieve the other day! And so, then I began to feel more confident again, and from there it kinda took off, and I was able to complete this eventually ^^
This is also the first time I tried changing between stages, and I think also animating effects?
Rendering and converting this didnt take that long either, which is good!
The only thing is that I couldnt decide if the saturation of the color is too much, or not ^^ So then I didnt wanna cram too too much onto this, to really make it a mess and whatnot.
Aaaand, I suppose thats all I wanna say about this!

I would say that this is something I threw together while editing another project but honestly, throwing this together ended up taking a little longer than intended ^^
Anyways, I saw an MMD with this song and Sora earlier today, and after finding some models, I wanted to try making this kind of video, myself ^^
I ended up fixing the camera at points, bc in some places, it was a little too close to the characters or too high up for them ^^
Oh and this is also my first successful attempt at adding more than 1 model on screen, and changing their positions and whatnot ^^ I say successful bc the last time I tried to render an MMD video with 2 models, it froze during rendering, and I hadnt saved the project I think, so I gave up ^^
I also tried to add some drop shadows near their feet in Vegas afterwards, but er, the shadows flew away from them at quite a lot of points, basically, so I removed it ^^
Ah, and I added the official choreography in the background for comparison sake I suppose, and also bc I thought it would be neat ^^
Another thing I wanna mention is that I literally copied and pasted some text from an edit of mine with this song, that has been in the works for UUUUHHH nearly a year I think XD
I did have fun with making this, despite it taking a while ^^
Hm, and I suppose thats all I wanna say!
I may or may not upload another thing today (which could be an edit that Im working on atm), well see ^^

Aaaaa, what I can say that this edit started life as _two_ different projects, both of which will now never be finished bc this exists XD
Aaand I actually didnt feel as into going back to editing with Bleach as I thought Id be! XD Buuut! I pulled through the did the thing! :3
It was a bit of a toughy to not use clips from much later episodes! I didnt wanna spoil Katie for whats to come in Bleach, sooo, even if I did use some later episodes here, I tried to keep them mild and out of context, where it doesnt really show much :3

So over the past year i have made like 2 other edits with this song, which i have either not finished/dropped, or i probably wont make public here any time soon- XD

This p much started after i saw an Idolish7 edit by LadyKuro (lovely edit as well!), and i felt uber inspired but i also found myself LOSING MY MIND OVER THIS GUY HERE- XD
So Idolish7 is an anime that i have contemplated, attempted to watch, and dropped about 2 times, i first wanted to check it out like 4 years ago by this point- and only earlier this year did i sit down to watch more than half of the first episode! And that all started after i saw the edit i mentioned, pretty much :o just a big, BURST of motivation XD
Not sure when i will continue watching it by this point, sadly?? Im not sure if idol anime is really my thing, but i sure think the characters are neat and the art style looks nice :3
Making this was so much fun!
It was fun to merely set the clips and decide on what kind of colors i wanna vibe with. And i loved the result of the coloring - its super simple, but it has good tones imo!
I love the result of the tones of this video in general, and im quite happy with how smooth it turned out to look.

Hmmm this is a little challenge that my girlfriend suggested to me some months back :3
Editing with only the pre-installed fx/no plugins!
My inspo for this project didnt originally start like this. At first, this project didnt begin life like this at all.
This started when i started listening to more of this remix again while doing school work and realized that im getting r&c edit idea visions in my head while listening to the second verse!! it felt very inspiring to me.
So eventually i started this project as simply a nostalgia project, in remembrance to an old r&c gmv that may or may not have existed back in the day with this song.
But then i lost the inspo to edit with that project. I think i only placed audio and then i left it sitting there, and deleted it eventually.
However, after my girlfriend suggested this, i felt like i could revive this project and feel more inspo for it under a theme!
And that worked! i didnt continue this project for some time, i didnt have many clip ideas at some points or i was too lazy to go find the clips i have in mind, but stuff was moving forward!
i realized that its still rather possible to make the effects i wanna make without any plugins, and replicate my regular style that way ^^ the only thing is that the motion blur kinda, looks a bit funky. but oh well.
to make things a bit more interesting for myself i also tried a couple new things like did an extending line effect alongside some text and used the multiply (mask) blend mode to achieve a duplicated/displaced version of the clip beneath, in some text ^^
Took a little bit of effort to remind myself what was a plugin and what wasnt! owo bc i still haaad all of my plugins while making this - just simply wasnt using them owo
overall i quite like the result of this, i believe it was also fun to make in general, even with the changing ideas!
This was also one of the last projects i did before i just started feeling bored and getting a distaste for editing like this often.
Small specification - while this is Hold Your Colour, its the Extended Bipolar Mix.
