I’m back in China. 🇨🇳
It’s been a while since I’ve really checked in with the JaYoe Nation, and somehow it feels appropriate that this next chapter starts in the same place where so much of the JaYoe story began.
I first came to China back in 2005. The country has changed enormously since then — and, honestly, so have I.
Since the Van & Trike Tour ended, life has been moving pretty fast. I finished that adventure, lost about 50 pounds, found a new love for running, traveled through Europe with my family, stepped away from filming for a while, and started thinking a lot about what I want the next chapter of JaYoe to look like.
Now I’m back.
In this episode I land at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, navigate a very different arrival experience than the China I remember, catch you up on what’s happened over the past several months, and start the drive from Shanghai to Ningbo.
I’ll be in China for the next few weeks handling business, visiting factories, reconnecting with people and places from my past, and occasionally bringing the camera along when something interesting happens.
I’m not promising a giant daily China vlog series. I’m here to work. But China is where this channel really began, and it feels pretty damn good to pick up the camera here again.
China has changed.
I’ve changed.
