My December shoot 'em up marathon part 8 of 12.
Originally released on June 11th, 2008 on Sega Naomi arcade machines and November 13th, 2008 on the Wii, it's Illvelo aka: Illmatic Envelope from the studio that brought you Chaos Field, Radirgy and Karous (btw, I played all of these games on the Dreamcast). I got this game for Christmas this year. I was surprised this game showed up at my local Canada Post rather than at my front door via FedEx. Yes, it was shipped from Japanese seller on eBay. In this playthrough, I played through arcade and easy modes. The enemies and bosses sure are weird in this game. I like how you get electrocuted when you lose a life, it's pretty funny. I like the visual style in this game. They kinda remind me of WarioWare. I also notice that there are Milestone icons scattered throughout the game. I also did not succeed in all bonus stages whenever they showed up in this game. This game is known for it's trippy level backgrounds, bizarre sound effects and wacky enemy visual designs and that is certainly true. Copied that sentence from that shoot 'em up wikia page. What is my opinion on this game? Well, I got a kick outta playing this one and I quite like this one. I think some of you should check this one out for it's weird visuals giving ChoAniki and Toilet Kids on the PC Engine a run for their money.
