This past weekend I was able to attend an IRM event that I've postponed for way too long... Diesel Days!
This year there was a special theme each day of the event, I went on Friday and the theme was "Four-Stroke Friday", so all of the operational GE's and ALCO's were out on the mainline. That also meant I got to see their honorary steam locomotive, GB&W 2407, ha!
I even was able to get some throttle time behind CNW 411 and Metra 308. This was the first time I ever drove a real locomotive, it was quite an experience!
