I come from a big Irish family on my maternal side, and so I couldn't let tomorrow go by without a good old Irish song:)
The very old and stained photo is my Nana Cecily holding baby me in 1962.
My Nana was a very beautiful lady, and had been quite a catch in her time, so I was told, and all the boys were after her:) So, this song makes me think of her:) I grew up hearing her sings so many Traditional Irish tunes, and she always had a twinkle in her eyes.She convinced me when I was a little girl, that If i left a glass of Guinness outside on St Patrick's night, the leprechauns would drink it, and give me good luck for ever more..Not too sure about that one, but I have my Guinness ready and chilling for tomorrow:) Bless you Nana Cecily!
