Taking a look - and listen! - to the iRig Mic Lav from IK Multimedia. It's a low cost tieclip microphone to plug into tablets, phones and similar mobile devices (iOS and Android).

Part of the review was recorded with a Rode Lavalier so you can hear how the low cost iRig mic sounds against a rather more expensive one.
