The iHome iSP8 Smart Plug can be a foundational piece in your smart home. It allows you to turn devices on or off with your phone or your voice and even allows you to integrate into all the major Smart Home ecosystems to create automations to meet your homes unique needs. The iHome iSP8 ships with an included remote which is not exposed to the Smart Home systems, but at least it's better than not having a remote right? This is a wifi (2.4 Ghz) smart home device and one of the only plugs that allows you to have more than one connected to a standard North American 2 socket wall plate. They obviously thought about how their customer would use these and I appreciate that attention to detail.
