$Master Modes Means Accessible PVP, Not Easier PVP In this video I make the dozens of highly vocal, vitriolic Arena Commander elite upset, whilst simultaneously breaking down why Master Modes is a step towards making Star Citizen a more accessible, more approachable, healthier MMO. Master Modes is a step down the path that means that PVP is easy to learn, difficult to master. PVP is not overall easier in the sense that its dumbed down, but rather Master Modes means that a group of players, individually less skilled at PVP have a shot at taking down an extremely good player who makes a mistake. It means that the difficulty curve for PVP doesnt exist where 99% of the game is basically forced into jousting or 1v1 dogfights, and the 1% use engine exploits and tricks like tricording to simply outplay every other player who will never gain an understanding as to why they lost. Master Mode means hulls that are currently useless might actually have a shot at being used. I think its a good change, because like most people I want Star Citizen to actually function like an MMO with a healthy player base, and I rightly believe most of the people arguing against Master Modes are an entirely self-interested, fractional minority of the game population.
