Welcome to Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Vol 7 first prompt - a still life textile art project. #Roxysjournalofstitchery

In this video I share lots of ideas and inspiration for different ways to work on this slow stitching textile art project including ideas suitable for beginner slow stitchers or textile artists.

My first project will be a micro scrap fabric collage based on a beautiful painting by Henri Le Sidsner. It features a lovely sun dappled scene with a still life table and gorgeous gardens and house behind.

I also share a review of two books: Still Life by Susie John’s and Collage Quilter by Emily Taylor of @CollageQuilter - I’m so in love with both of these books and excited to start playing with some of the approaches.

I hope this video gives you lots of ideas and inspiration for your own Roxy’s journal of Stitchery slow stitching textile art still life project.
