Ice build up can be very dangerous for an airplane ind when ever aircraft flies through such ice condition crew must know it to use countermeasures like wing and engine anti-ice system. today we will take look on such indicator. A lighted icing indicator is installed on the center panel retainer between the two windshield panels to appreciate the icing conditions. It is visible by both pilots. It provides a visual indication when icing conditions are encountered.
Its illumination is controlled by a switch INT LT/ICE IND & STBY COMPASS for night visibility.
