From Reykjavik, we took a small group tour to Iceland's South Coast on an exceptionally rainy day to see the waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss (famous because you can walk behind the waterfall), the black sand beach of Reynisfjara and the small town of Vik, which will be wiped away by a big volcanic eruption that is now overdue. Usually on the tour, you can see that volcano, Eyjafjallajokull (the one that made Iceland famous by interrupting plane travel all over the world a few years ago) and a viewpoint for Solheimajokull glacier, but the clouds covered the volcano while the rain was causing boulders to fall on the path to the glacier so we were told to turn back. What we did see was stunning and I'd love to go back in better weather to see everything.
