While in Rio de Janeiro, we enjoyed dinner at a steakhouse and a drive around the iconic city at night. Lit up and vibrant, Rio is a city that comes to life at night. We began with a meal at a steakhouse that included views of Sugarloaf Mountain. Although dark, you can see the cable car stations lit up. There was also an incredible view of Christ the Redeemer glowing in the dark night. Bays, like Guanabara Bay are lit up and look stunning against the dark water. We drove through vibrant Lapa, full of nightlife and past the aquaduct. We walked the famous Copacabana Beach with its distinctive sidewalk design. Although mostly a coach-based tour, it was fabulous to the city famous city and its iconic landmarks at night. Parts of Rio come alive after the sun goes down!
