Recently I was the high bidder on this eBay auction for 20 untested PS1 and PS2 memory cards. Got them all for around $25! And so as we usually do we, let’s load them up and see what kind of save files we can find! Actually, we gotta see if they even work.. But what precious PlayStation memories will we stumble upon? This week we had the PlayStation System Architect Mark Cerny talk a lot about their collaboration with AMD. Were hearing a lot of things about PS5 Pros big 2026 update, but also Marks plans for next-gen! Which is still sounding like itll be a multi-year process. We also had huge breaking news yesterday that Sony is willingly shipping Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X. And this would be the first PS Studios game where they are doing this deliberately by their own choice. So the times really have changed now huh.. Another week of PlayStation completely ignoring the disc issue! And yet we still have stories about physical media pouring in. We have some sales numbers for physical PS4 & PS5 games in the US and the results are lower than we thought. And the UK physical charts doesnt look much different. Were also learning that Sony is enforcing a very strict social media policy on their employees, they cant say ANYTHING about the disc production controversy. But were starting to see some game devs & even the Ubisoft CEO comment on the matter! Elsewhere in the week we have some news for the PS Store, Marvels Wolverine, Marathon, Xbox clarifying exclusivity, Bethesdas game lineup, the GameStop CEO, and more! Its another week of a disc shaped crater in my heart. I am sadge, and I just want it to end fam.

PlayStation has been very busy this week filing a lawsuit against Tencent over their rip-off Horizon game Light of Moritam. We got a lot of juicy details about how Tencent actually pitched a Horizon game themselves! Sony said no, but they went ahead with the game anyway it seems. This week we also had the big multiplatform job listing at SIE that has everyone wondering if Sony will release more games on Xbox and Nintendo Switch. And some are suggesting that yes, more will come. Elsewhere through the week we have China Joy 2025 where Sony held a little conference, we have new gameplay for Phantom Blade Zero going viral, and some Nintendo Direct Partner announcements. Its definitely busy! Now if I can just squeak by you and grab some napkins. (Sheesh this restaurant is always so packed).
