I built a whole robot just to capture the same image over and over. Is it overkill? Absolutely. Is it solving a real problem? Actually, yeah. What started as a way to get repeatable, focus-stacked macro shots of 3D printer nozzles turned into a modular, swappable-camera inspection station built almost entirely from salvaged parts. A dead Ender 3 board and screen, linear rails off old Voron builds, motors from the parts bin. The magpie hoard finally paid off.
