Can we talk about why we even call them window treatments? Because if you are doing them correctly you are not dressing your windows at all... you are dressing your walls. And that reframe changes everything about how you hang them. šŸ˜

Here is the rule: curtains go all the way to the ceiling and they hang on the outside of the window frame — not on it, not inside it, outside it and wide. When you do it this way your eye gets drawn upward which makes your ceilings feel taller and your entire room feel bigger. You are also not covering any part of the actual window which means more natural light pouring into your space and the illusion of a much larger window than you actually have. Every single benefit points in the same direction... hang them high, hang them wide, take them all the way to the ceiling and stop thinking about dressing your windows. Dress your walls instead. ✨ That one shift will change every room in your home.
