After 3 and a half years, I completed my quest to find every single Shiny Roaming Pokemon in Gen 2, 3, 4 & 5. I've put together this supercut for you all to enjoy and watch at your leisure.
In total, I did 103,891 encounters for all 17 (not including the Gen 5 pseudos) with an average of 6,246 per shiny roamer. Underodds for the win!
The highlights of this quest were probably the Entei in 100 seen in Crystal along with the Suicune in FireRed. The Lati twins in Ruby and Sapphire too. I'm really proud of the Gen 3 Roamers in particular. I feel like they're still super difficult and take a lot of attention to hunt.
The low point was probably the Latios in SoulSilver. I don't really know why but I really disliked that hunt. I'm usually one to double hunt with something else on the side but that hunt was difficult to match something to. It felt like it dragged on a lot. Sometimes a hunt just doesn't agree with you I guess.
Generation 2 was insane. I absolutely had luck on my side when doing these.
It doesn't feel real that it's done, it's over. I keep forgetting it's finished. It'll sink in soon.

Shiny Roaming Articuno after a decently quick 2,014 SRs in Platinum to complete the trio. I started my Roamer Quest with Zapdos so I had initially planned to hunt Articuno as the last but I just felt compelled to hunt it recently. Seeing the trio left unfinished for so long just spurred me on to finish them. Its a beautiful shiny, bright ice white with an amazing sprite in Platinum. I really love Platinum so to complete this trio is really amazing. I was memorised when they were roamers in my initial playthrough and I knew that someday Id want to hunt them.
The Legendary Birds are some of my favourite Pokemon and Articuno to me is the prime example of a shiny not needing a drastic change to be a beautiful shiny. Id love to hunt this in both Gen 2 & 3 one day too so I can admire the sprite differences.
Roamer #12 obtained which is incredible. I still cant believe I only have 5 left as of making this video. Im not sure whats next as I need to repair a HDMI adapter for my Gamecube so Gen 2 perhaps if I get it back in time. Who knows.

My good luck came to an abrupt and long-winded end but I finally got my shiny Lileep after 34,722 SRs for my Ruby Dream Team Quest. The green is super vibrant and this is for sure one of my favourite Pokemon ever so Im so happy he finally shined. It looks great in Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness too!
I really dont have the best Fossil luck, at all. My average for three Fossil hunts is 31,000 resets which is just... wow. I really need to stop saying I dont like summary screen hunts because it always curses me.

The second member of my Water monotype challenge of Sapphire shines after 6,720 REs! Shiny Peecko joins Mudkip in being underodds. Every hunt on this file has so far been underodds so long may that continue please.
I found a shiny Wingull in Platinum a number of years ago so its nice to have one in its original generation. I was quite surprised how much the colour of the body stood out to me more than the green. I went into this hunt fully focused on the green wings though that wasnt what caught my eye.
A really cute shiny and a classic Hoenn Pokemon added to my collection.

Shiny Shadow Mareep after 23,288 SRs! I cant buy an under odds Colosseum hunt or even one close to odds at the moment. I genuinely thought I was doing this hunt wrong at one point.
Mareep is such a classic shiny isnt it? The pink is super vibrant in Colosseum and I think this was a really unique and interesting way to hunt it. Here is hoping I get an underodds Colosseum hunt soon enough!
The IVs are all 0, the nature is set to Mild.

An exceptionally amazing hunt, I highly recommend this one. If Im being honest, this hunt alone sparked this quest idea entirely. Ive had this hunt on my to do list for a long, long time. The first time you visit the mountain, Bianca will team up with you to give you double encounters. You can also do this with Cheren in Pinwheel Forest for some amazing targets in the post-game.
Excadrill is one of my all-time favourite Pokemon. I love the shiny too. Delighted to add this to the quest. Its a fun one because youre able to only use Exploring Power 3 and not Lucky Power 2 as Excadrill is 100%. You dont reset as often to keep your Pass Orbs.
I highly recommend you try this if you fancy going for a Pass Power Pokemon. The only annoying thing is the Shards but it cant be helped.

Stark Mountain comes through for me on Phase 2. What a beauty. I love this shiny and it was one of several things here I really wanted. Can’t remember the last time I saw a Camerupt in Gen IV in the wild actually, full odds at least. I would have been content with Rhydon, Weezing, Magby, any of the 1% stuff or this and I got this!
I love the back and sunken look of this shiny a lot. I used one on my team in Hoenn once so it’s a nostalgic Pokemon to me. I think these late game Sinnoh routes are super underrated and under hunted. I have a plethora of targets I’d like to snag here so I’ll be returning to these late game routes sooner rather than later.
