The 2nd of the trio obtained. This one took me by complete surprise. I was deeply entranced by a Youtube video when this shines which is what you can hear in the background. Totodile is such a great Pokemon by itself but the shiny takes it to another level. Really happy with this. I enjoy this method a lot and I wish I had more targets in mind for it.

Not my target but a very interesting shiny to find wild in 3rd Gen. I like this line a lot. Its one super common Pokémon (at least Tentcacool) that has a very nice shiny unlike things like Zubat or Geodude. Delighted to add this to my collection and show it off in Colosseum version.
This was a 50% Mantine/Tentacruel repel trick which as you can see from the video is quite slow. Its not too bad if you double/triple hunt it because single hunting would be torture so respect to those who decide to do it.

I have no words. RNG blessed me. I truly felt like this was going to take so long & it didnt. This is the best looking shiny starter, in my opinion, it reminds me very much of Mudkip but a little more, personalised. Im personally #GrookeyGang but this shiny is so nice so Im absolutely a member of #SobbleSquad too. I will eventually hunt for my little ape friend too.
I decided that despite GameFreaks ridiculous decision to lock the starters, it would be great to show the full odds dream is still alive. I dont choose a nature because you dont when you soft reset for a starter.
Edit 20/11/2019 - Apparently this is the rarer square sparkles animation that has recently come to light. Pretty cool I guess.

Third and final legendary golem shines very quickly to complete the trio for me in 4th Gen. Very happy with this one as its probably my favourite of the trio. I really like the blue/green tinge it has in 4th Gen. I personally believe it looks the best in this generation.

Regirock was after 7379 soft resets
Regice was after 1154 soft resets
Registeel was after 3288 soft resets
Ill be hunting for another roamer when I eventually go back to Platinum. Ive got some hunts going on in other games at the moment so not sure when Ill get around to another roamer but stay tuned;

After 3 Shiny Spearow here on Route 11, I found my golden/green Ekans just shy of 10,000 encounters. Very glad to have this done as I love Arboks sprite in FR/LG. Ekans also looks quite unique in FR/LG having a more green-tinge to it as well when compared to HeartGold/SoulSilver as I show in the video. This hunt took a while but Im glad its over and I can move on to Eevee which will hopefully be a decently quick hunt.
Ekans and Arbok are Pokemon that Ive never really used much in-game mostly the versions its available in were usually the ones I didnt play. I had Yellow as a kid and it isnt not available there sadly. This will be the first time using one so Im excited to see how she performs. Its a bit of a shame that I didnt get Intimidate as the ability but you cant win them all. Shed Skin is still quite useful.

Shiny Seviper is such an underrated shiny. I’ve had this on my “to hunt” list for a long, long time and I had a free system so I thought, why not? It took a while, I did start this before Christmas but it’s so worth it. I really like how it looks in 4th Gen. The colours are so much more pronounced. Very happy with this snake!

It’s really not a method you see done too often but I suppose with it being post-game only, it does restrict you somewhat. Either way, I’d like to see more of these one and the vast majority of them can be repel tricked too which is always a bonus.

My final team member of my shiny playthrough shined very quickly. Im really happy with this. I should have finished this game a long time ago but I got distracted by roamers and other hunts. This is one of my favourite Alolan forms for sure & I had initially planned to hunt it in Moon though Im glad I waited.

Snom is the greatest Pokemon to ever exist. I think we can all collectively agree on that statement. Its so cute, I love it.
I cant believe this shined so quickly. I said I felt it was going to be super fast and lo and behold, it was! Snom doesnt have the greatest shiny and its a little difficult to hunt in the area its available in but its worth it if you have the patience to deal with the Sawk/Sneasel running after you.
Snom might honestly be a contender one of my favourite Pokemon in the series already. Ice and Bug are my two favourite types so to finally get a dual typing like that, after 8 Generations too, is amazing. Frosmoth has an amazing shiny too and I cant wait to finish this playthrough with it on my team. I dont think its the best Pokemon competitively which is a shame but with a typing like that Im not overly surprised.
This is to-date my 2nd fastest 1/4096 hunt too. My fastest is still Type:Null after only 175 SRs in Moon.
