On February 1st, Porter launched commercial flights with their brand-new Embraer E195-E2s, and their very first flight was a short hop from Toronto-Pearson to Ottawa!
As the North American launch customer, this was also the very first commercial E2 flight in North America. This is also a pretty big deal for Porter, as it marks the start of a very rapid expansion.

Back in August, @BSiskaAviation and I drove down to the US on a bit of a road trip, and on our way there we stopped at Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington, in the hopes of seeing some flight test action.
The highlight was Boeings newest iteration of the 737 MAX—the absurdly-long MAX 10—going up for a quick test flight around the Pacific Northwest. Ive also included some other BFI traffic, including a Southwest MAX on a delivery flight plus quite a few bizjets. Enjoy!

The northern village of Puvirnituq is one of the largest settlements in Quebecs Nunavik region, and sits just above the 60th parallel.
Its home to an airport with a 6,000+ foot runway, making it one of the few airports in the region able to accommodate a 737. That runway though is made of gravel, and so only the 737-200s with a gravel kit can actually use it.
With direct scheduled flights to Montreal, that makes Puvirnituq one of the more relatively accessible places to see a 737-200 in its element.
I found myself there back in April on my way home from Kuujjuaq, and managed to capture one of Air Inuits 737-200s operating an all-cargo flight to and from Montreal. Enjoy this gravel runway action!
