We truly built a dream sim set up.
The community is amazingly supportive and at this point, nearly any real world aircraft avionics configuration can be built and simulated in great detail.

Matt and I are flying to Sim Expo 2025 together (Toronto to Providence, Rhode Island) and have been using the sim to prepare for the actual flight. (Matt is working on his PPL and will be doing as much of the radio work and avionics management in the real plane as he can).
If you're at all interested in #FlightSimulation the expo is definitely worth checking out!
You can learn about in person, or virtual attendance here:

Thanks to Real Sim Gear and Navigraph I've got physical avionics with actual Jeppesen charts. I also like to wear an actual Bose Aviation headset when I'm talking to simulated ATC via a service like PilotEdge.
The latest feature I've added, and tested for the first time today is Beam Eye Tracker. It is a small company and what they are doing is pretty cool - you can turn a simple web cam into a very effective head and/or eye tracker. It works really well and the only limitation I found was you can't quite look beyond 90 degrees to the side, which makes sense as it needs to see your eyes to track) but attempting a hammerhead was the first time I tried LOL. It worked great for a loop though!
All that said, it's an interesting tool for simming, to effortlessly and naturally look around the virtual cockpit.
I don't usually use affiliate links, but for this one I'm gonna give it a try:

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:

I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 20 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
