We officially FINISHED the basement! After months of DIY projects, inspections, unexpected problems, and a whole lot of work, I'm finally giving you a complete tour of how our unfinished basement turned out.
When we bought this fixer-upper, the basement was essentially a blank slate. My goal was to turn it into finished living space our family would actually use—and do as much of the work myself as possible.
In this video, we're putting on the final touches and taking a complete tour of the finished basement, including:

This basement has been one of the biggest projects of our entire fixer-upper remodel, and seeing it completely furnished and finished makes all those months of work worth it.
But there's still one BIG question I haven't answered...
💰 WHAT DID IT REALLY COST?
I've been keeping track of the expenses throughout this project, and my next basement video will be a complete cost breakdown of taking this basement from unfinished to finished.
I'll break down what I actually spent on framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, the bathroom, flooring, finishes and everything else—and we'll see just how much doing the work myself actually saved.
