At this point, I’ve installed tile showers, Flexstone wall panels… and now a fiberglass shower surround.
After using all three, I’ve learned they each have pros and cons — and for this basement bathroom, I decided to go with the fiberglass surround for a few important reasons.

For this basement project, I wanted something practical, durable, lower maintenance, and much faster to install — especially on a concrete basement floor.
After doing all three types of showers over the years, I finally have a pretty good feel for where each one makes the most sense.
