Humphrey Wittingtonsworth IV | I coded a thing that helps you make cube mosaics (move optimal) @HumphreyWittingtonsworthIV | Uploaded February 2019 | Updated October 2024, 23 hours ago.
1. Program resizes image to how many cubes you have
2. It partitions the image into 3x3 pixel subimages
3. It matches cube colours to pixel colours based on cielab colour distance
4. It optimally solves a cube face for that subimage
5. It compares all four faces and minimizes the move count further
6. Arranges the subimages into rows and column coordinates and displays it on screen, along with what colour face to hold up/front, and gives you the optimal sequence to reach that state
WIth this program, we can make mosaics super fast!
Especially really big ones!
More cool stuff soon, I promise
