Well this is an interesting one ! I love making these On The Journey videos - it is such a pleasure to showcase developing talent and I had been wondering what would be the earliest guitar I'd see. So far that's guitar number 4 an LM Model by Connor Gair who builds under the name Aurelio Guitars from his workshop here in the UK.
For such an early instrument this shows some extraordinary inventiveness and thinking, literally outside the box.
This guitar features structured sides, a semi-arched top, a cantilevered neck, a soundhole tournavoz, a tubular string mounting system, there is a lot going on here.
Will Connor tone it down in future guitars or will he push things even further? We'll find out the fun way!
