Mount Davis 3,213′ is a very flat mountain. Its highest point is under dispute. Linus bushwacked to the "new" high point and could not find his way back to the car 100 yards away in near freezing rain. It was Linus' 32nd state high point and he discusses the various highpointer awards the 25, 30, and 40 state high point pins as well as the lower 48 and 50 state plaques.
According to Dr. Eric Gilbertson, "LiDAR Lessons," Apex to Zenith, Summer 2025, 18. The alternative high point that Linus visited was about 3 feet lower than the official boulder high point.
