My hunting rifle setup for this year's deer season is a Ruger American Predator in .308 caliber. I sold my Winchester Model 70, as the bolt was not consistent when cycled. The Pre-64 ones were awesome, get one of those. If not, these Ruger American Predator rifles are awesome. Good price at around $400. I then replaced the stock, as the stock that comes with the Ruger American Predator is the weak point. You can get by with it, but I wanted a solid rifle I can pass down.
