The Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust Catback Kit 817843: 2019 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI 4x4 Truck (Laramie, Limited, Big Horn, Lone Star) is rock solid! I got the Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust Catback Kit 817843: 2019 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI 4x4 Truck (Laramie, Limited, Big Horn, Lone Star) because it was a upgrade from 2.25" tubing to 3" tubing and a 50 series HD muffler. But mainly the tips in the Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust Catback Kit 817843: 2019 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI 4x4 Truck (Laramie, Limited, Big Horn, Lone Star) kit are long, not those ugly right at the last 3 inches flared out. Gives the truck better lines than any other kit.
I believe that the increase in sound levels is about 50% inside and outside the vehicle while driving. At idle it is 50% louder outside and 30% louder inside. I believe this kit should be about 20% quieter to be more accepted by the masses who own a 2019 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI Truck (Laramie, Limited, Big Horn, Lone Star). But that is a Flowmaster decision, this is their quietest kit.
This 817843 kit's biggest noticeable feature was it's larger pull feel on highway. This truck now keeps pulling through the RPM's, unlike with stock exhaust. When you look at the DYNO provided by Flowmaster, which I did not look at originally so I could draw my own conclusions first, it in fact shows a large increase in RWHP at the upper end of the RMP range. Somewhere around 7-10 RWHP. I did not think I would notice much, but at highway speeds and having to punch it to get around someone or avoid something dangerous it is very much noticeable with more power pulling through the upper RPM's. Everything down low seems about the same with minor increase in power, which may just be my brain telling me there is an increase down low. Haha. Full review to come in a few months!
