If moral truths are real in an objective way—meaning they are true regardless of what any person or culture believes—then they cannot originate from human beings alone. Human opinions and societies change, but objective morality would have to remain constant and binding even if no one agreed with it. Because of that, such moral truths would need a foundation outside of humanity, something that gives them authority and makes them valid independently of human thought or preference.
