Oh no, not another sexist ad! The very attractive substitute teacher in the clip seems to come straight out of a feminist leaflet about the objectification and commercialisation of female flesh. But wait! What about the message? What is being ‘advertised’ here?
This very interesting clip (misguided though many might consider it) can be the perfect springboard for a class discussion: ‘Does the end justify the means?’ – or could it be that people are so focused on the originality of the concept or the charms of the model that the message is lost?
And did you know these things about Burma?
