A professor with the surname Zhang built a villa on the rooftop of a 26 story building in Beijing, complete with artificial rocks and real trees. The project took six years to complete and is completely illegal. Zhang lives on the top floor of the complex and refuses to open the door to fellow tenants who suffer from non stop construction sounds and cracks in their walls that resulted from the extra weight from the rooftop structure.
