When Operation Desert Storm began, USAF's main SEAD aircraft was the F-4G Wild Weasel. This aircraft was a product of experiences from Vietnam War and even more, Arab-Israeli War of 1973. But by mid-1980s, it was joined by F-16C. These two airplanes formed hunter-killer teams and as the war for the liberation of Kuwait began, the 23rd TFS deployed Their F-4Gs and F-16Cs to Incirlik, Turkey.
