In this DROPS video we show you how to work an edge-stitch knitted twisted at the beginning of the row and with 1 extra stitch at the end of the row. This gives a more stable edge with a small marked line along the edge stitch. The piece is worked in garter stitch (knitting each row). A nice edge to use when the bands on a garment are worked in garter stitch.
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
We begin with the first stitch.

BEGINNING OF ROW:
Knit the first stitch twisted. Knit to the end of the row and work the last stitch as follows: Using the left needle, pick up the front strand between the next-to-last and last stitch (= new stitch on left needle), knit the last stitch and this stitch together.
