Uber is one of the most popular travel apps in the world, and for good reason, so here's how to use Uber like a pro. To request a ride, just click the “Where to?” box and it will pull in your current location, so you just type in where you wanna go and then select which type of ride you want. I always go with UberX which is usually the cheapest, but they have lots of different options for larger groups, luxury vehicles, and even Uber Pet. From there, Uber will assign you a driver and you can usually get a ride within a matter of minutes, but you can also reserve rides in advance and enter all of your flight details so that as soon as you land, your driver is assigned and ready to pick you up. It’s also a good idea to go into your account settings and go through this safety checkup to make sure all the safety settings are enabled to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I personally like to use the PIN verification setting to make sure I'm getting in the right vehicle and always verify the license plate, but there are lots of other safety settings you can play with in here. When it comes to saving money on Uber, you could use their subscription servic Uber One or use basic tips like walking away from surge pricing zones at large venues, using Uber credits from different travel credit cards, using split fare rides, and checking other ride sharing apps or local taxi services to see if you can get a better price elsewhere.
