The first method consists of simply saving on Epona with the mask equipped, and then racing the Gorman brothers. Mash the button you have the mask on as soon as the screen changes and you’ll be Fierce Deity Link! Just wait until the race ends. Don’t race them again and you’re free to go.

The second method consists of getting stuck in land partially as Zora Link. I find it easiest to do it in the pond in Termina field. Simply try to dive in an area where Zora link would normally be standing but deep enough to where Link would float. Once you’re stuck, simply use the mask. You’re then free to go.
