Device Query for Multiple Devices
. Device query allows you to quickly gain on-demand information about the state of your devices.
· Device Query for Multiple Devices relies on the inventory data uploaded by devices and introduces the capability to write custom queries to gather insights on device configuration.
. Device query supports only a subset of the operators supported in the Kusto Query Language (KQL).
· The Kusto Query Language (KQL) query editor supports IntelliSense and has a parser tuned for this scenario

What is Kusto Query Language (KQL)
· Kusto Query Language (KQL) is used to write queries in Azure Data Explorer, Azure Monitor Log Analytics, Azure Sentinel, and more.
· Kusto Query Language (KQL) is a powerful tool to explore your data and discover patterns, identify outliers, create statistical modeling, and more.
· A Kusto query is a read-only request to process data and return results. · The most common kind of query statement is a tabular expression statement, which
means both its input and output consist of tables or tabular datasets.
· All query statements are separated by a ; (semicolon).
· KQL operators are sequenced by a | (pipe).

Limitations of Device Query for Multiple Devices
. A single query can contain a maximum of three join operators. Queries with more joins fail.
. A max of ~50,000 records are returned for a query.
. A maximum of 10 queries can be submitted per minute. Additional queries will fail.
· A maximum of 1,000 queries can be submitted per month.
· Queries with a join operator, $left and Sright parameters show a red underline under $left and $right. However, the query can still run and returns results as expected.
