What are Discovered Apps in Intune?

Intune discovered apps is a list of detected apps on the Intune enrolled devices in your tenant. It acts as a software inventory for your tenant.

Discovered Apps Vs Installed Apps?

Discovered apps are separate reports from the app installation reports. For personal devices, Intune never collects information on applications that are unmanaged. On corporate devices, any app, whether it is a managed app or not, is collected for this report.

What is Intune Inventory?

Intune collects Software and Hardware details of managed devices using the default MDM stack.
Custom Inventory options are also available using IME workload.
The default Intune Inventory reports are not part of the Reports node in Intune.

What is Intune Custom Inventory?

You can collect Custom Inventory using several community solutions
Microsoft Engineers also shared some of their own custom inventory solutions
All these custom inventory solutions work with the help of IME client and PowerShell script

Hi there, today we are here with an Intune tip let's quickly find out how to check the hardware inventory and software inventory on Windows devices using InTune to get to the software inventory, what you need to do is go to the particular Windows device and then click on discovered applications discovered application is going to give you the list of application which are installed on that particular Windows device total number of discovered applications are also listed over there for this example you can see 88 application got discovered for this particular device to get the hardware details of the device you need to go back to Hardware menu and then you can check memory details processor details and hard disk size details Etc [Music]
