Flowtoys composite props and collapsible staffs are made using a 3D-printed connector that adapts the carbon fiber shaft to the polycarbonate tubing, allowing the staff to be broken down for travel, servicing, and replacing grip and tube adaptors.
This video shows how tube adaptors work and gives some tips on removing polycarbonate tubes from shafts.
