Japanese rice bags are unique and practical at the same time. A gift on its own or use it as a gift bag. I will show you how to cut your pieces, assemble and sew your bag. These bags can be made in any size you want and out of scraps of material or even an old pair of jeans!

-sewing scissors

-sewing thread to match your fabric

-Turn it all all tool
-wash out or disappearing fabric marking pen
-metal quilt and sewing gauge
-2 fat quarters 18"x21" (45.7 x54.3cm) to make a 4" (10.16cm) bag
-1/2 m or 1/2 yd to make 5" or 6" (12.7 or 15.24cm) bag
-1 m or 1 yd to make 7" (17.78cm) bag or larger
- I used an old pair of mens jeans for the jean rice bag
-I used 1/2 m or yard for the rawhide vinyl rice bag
-featherweight or heavy interfacing
Optional: ribbon for xmas or gift bags
