This full step by step tutorial will show you how to macrame this delicate looking bag with just square knots using 100% cotton yarn. You can make this bag in any size you wish and any colour. I made mine 6.5 x 7.5" (16.5x19cm). Great for all year.

Time to complete this project - Approx. 6-7 hours

Supply List:
-corrugated cardboard and tape as a place to work on your project. My cardboard piece measurements were: 7.25 x 18” (18.41 x 45.72cm) and 9 x 15” (22.86 x 38cm).
-sewing pins
-door clothing hook for working on your macrame if desired
-Approx. 150 yds (138m) Bernat handicrafter cotton yarn in the colour of your choice. If you want to make this bag larger than you will have to calculate for more yarn. Medium 4 weight. Colour I use is greige ombre.
-masking tape
-scissors
-cutting board and rotary blade if desired
-elastic bands if desired
-bull clip to secure your base cords
- safety pin
-tape measure
-scotch tape
-2 book support stands. I used canning jars. To assist when tying the bottom of your bag
-2 yds (1.83m) of cording of your choice. Mine had a smooth surface.
-pliers to assist with pulling cord through the beads
-bead landing natural wooden beads. Value pack. I used two medium for the draw string and 4 smaller ones for the ends of the cords.
-Swivel key hook if desired to secure your keys in your bag

Knitted Teddy Bear Beginner to intermediate - 18-20 hrs 3 MM ( US 2.5) (UK 11) needles 4-ply DK worsted weight acrylic yarn. 2 oz ball for each of 3 colours Polyester stuffing, black embroidery cotton & embroidery needle, dull end darning needle with large eye K = knit P = purl Inc = Increase Tog = together Back of Feet: -Cast on 10 stitches using body colour yarn -K 15 rows. Cut yarn leaving a 2’ (61cm) end -Cast on 10 stitches with other needle for second foot -K 15 rows. Cut yarn leaving a 2’ (61cm) end Back of Trousers: -Tie with a knot the yarn colour for your trousers onto the last foot stitch. -K 28 rows. Cut yarn leaving a 2’ (61cm) end.
