How to Play Diablo 2 with Windowed Borderless Gaming:
The best way to play Diablo II?

Diablo 2 without windowed mode:

- Window border takes up screen space
- 800x600 or fit to screen height are the only resolution options

Windowed Borderless Gaming (WBG) for Diablo 2

1. Download the program (link below). Put the folder somewhere and make a shortcut if you want. Run the program.

2. Run Diablo II from a windowed mode shortcut

To make a windowed mode shortcut: create a shortcut to Diablo II.exe, then right-click on the shortcut, go to properties, add "-w" to the end of the Target line, outside of the existing quotations and with a space between. It should look like this:

"E:\Games\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w

3. In your system tray, right-click the WBG icon and do Add Game. Then click on your Diablo II window and press F3.

4. Configure the settings from the WBG menu, Settings, Game Settings.

Change the resolution how you like. You can set it to fill your monitor's full resolution, or you can retain the game's 4:3 aspect ratio by taking your desired Y resolution and dividing it by .75 to get the matching X resolution (eg 1440/.75=1920, giving me a 1920x1440 resolution, which is 4:3).

If desired, enable the 'Manage mouse' option with 'Lock to game window' so you don't accidentally click off-screen while playing.

5. WBG will remember your settings for later. Just run the program, run Diablo II, and the settings should apply automatically.
