The Nest Temperature Sensor Gen 2 is a wireless battery powered sensor that can be placed in different rooms in your home to allow you to remotely monitor the temperature in your home on the Google Home app. It requires that you have a Nest Thermostat set up but you can then connect multiple Nest Thermostat Temperature Sensors to one Nest Thermostat.
You can both monitor the temperature with the Nest Temperature Sensor but also use it to have the Nest Thermostat hold the temperature to a temperature set point in a room that the Nest Temperature sensor is placed in.
